About D'Angelo
After the success of the fist album that D'Angelo released, he did not release any new material for a long time. However, in 2000 D'Angelo released the album Voodoo, and was a hit on the R&B charts. Reviews of Voodoo were once again highly positive, although a few critics objected to the looser, more atmospheric, more jam-oriented feel of the record, preferring the tighter songs of Brown Sugar.
